Full-Time Kitchen Manager

Tigg's Canteen Services is currently hiring a Permanent Full-Time Kitchen Manager to join our team at the DeKalb County Jail in Auburn, Indiana.

We are looking for someone who is dependable, motivated, and ready to take on a leadership role in a structured work environment. If you have integrity, a positive attitude, strong character, and enjoy working as part of a team, we would love to hear from you!

Pay & Benefits

Starting Pay: $22.00 per hour

What You'll Do

As a Kitchen Manager, you will help oversee and support the daily food service operation. Your responsibilities will include:

Leading and instructing inmate workers in the kitchen
Assisting with daily meal preparation
Preparing, baking, and cooking food
Following company recipes and procedures
Helping maintain a clean and organized kitchen
Assisting with kitchen clean-up
Working successfully within a structured correctional environment

The ability to work well in a structured environment
The ability to read and follow company recipes
The ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Leadership and teamwork skills
A willingness to learn and take direction

Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Ability to work weekends and holidays
Flexibility to work varying days and hours between 9:00 AM and 6:00 PM
Ability to successfully obtain clearance to enter the facility

Previous food service or kitchen experience is a plus, but it is not required. We are happy to train the right person!
