This position is fully remote, allowing for flexibility in your work environment while staying connected through virtual platforms. You will engage with clients via telehealth sessions, ensuring they receive the same level of care and attention as in-person visits. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive initial assessments and ongoing mental health evaluations, carefully documenting findings and treatment progress.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that address clients' unique needs, incorporating evidence-based practices for effective mental health interventions.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, employing a variety of therapeutic modalities to encourage positive change and emotional growth.
\n
• Monitor and document clients’ progress throughout their treatment journey, making regular adjustments to the care plan as necessary to optimize outcomes.
\n
• Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers, to create a cohesive treatment strategy.
\n
• Provide follow-up support and resources for clients recently discharged from hospital settings, ensuring continuity of care.
\n
• Assist family members in understanding and managing mental health challenges within their households, providing them with informational grounding and coping strategies.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your clientele will include individuals, couples, and families facing various mental health challenges. Many clients may be from underserved populations, requiring a counselor who is not only skilled but also culturally competent and attuned to the unique barriers they face in accessing care. You will support clients dealing with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, trauma, and other psychological conditions, tailoring your approach to ensure inclusivity and respect for each person's unique journey.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of New Jersey.

• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and compassionately.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills that foster a trusting and therapeutic relationship with clients.

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience in a clinical or community mental health setting, providing therapy or counseling services.

• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems, particularly AVATAR, to enhance clinical documentation and workflow.

• Knowledge of addiction disorders and the interplay between mental and physical health conditions.
\n
• Familiarity with the best practices set forth by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) and a comprehensive understanding of therapeutic drug effects prescribed by medical experts.

Compensation and Benefits\n
