Interim Accounting Manager

Our client, a growing healthcare organization, is seeking an experienced Interim Accounting Manager to provide hands-on financial leadership. This fully onsite role will oversee accounting operations, financial reporting, and compliance, while partnering closely with executive leadership to support business objectives.

Oversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and month-end close

Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements and management reports

Manage budgeting, forecasting, cash flow analysis, and financial planning activities

Maintain compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements

Support audits and coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and banking partners

Evaluate and strengthen internal controls, policies, and financial processes

Analyze financial performance and provide recommendations to leadership

Mentor and guide accounting team members while ensuring department productivity

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required

CPA strongly preferred not required

5+ years of progressive accounting and finance leadership experience

Previous management experience required

Healthcare/Medical industry experience strongly preferred

Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, budgeting, and internal controls

Experience managing audits and regulatory compliance requirements

Advanced proficiency with ERP/accounting systems and Microsoft Excel

Excellent analytical, organizational, and leadership skills

Ability to work fully onsite in Nashville, TN and quickly adapt to a fast-paced environment
