Medical Billing Specialist

Prepare and review billing forms to ensure accuracy and completeness prior to submission to insurance carriers Submit claims electronically and process paper claims as needed Enter documentation, adjustments, and updates into billing systems to maintain accurate account balances Review accounts for charge discrepancies and complete rebilling requests in a timely manner Monitor outstanding balances and conduct insurance follow-up for anesthesia and reference lab billing accounts Maintain records, reports, and daily production logs while evaluating account activity Communicate with internal departments and external payers to resolve billing issues Ensure compliance with billing regulations, internal policies, and HIPAA requirements Perform other duties as assigned What Sets BRG Apart: At Baton Rouge General, we are a community of compassionate, caring individuals who set the bar when it comes to healthcare excellence.
