This is a Full-Time (72 hours per pay period), with a 12-hour NIGHT shift, on variable days of the week including holidays and weekends. Located at Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla. We invite you to join our highly engaged Mother/Baby team of Registered Nurses responsible for providing direct patient care within the scope of his/her practice. Patient care includes assessment, planning and implementing a plan of care and evaluating patients' progress towards expected outcomes. The RN takes primary responsibility for the patients' care as delivered by the Care Team under his/her supervision. Works collaboratively with other members of the patient care team to ensure optimal patient care.

Preferred Experience/Specialized Skills/Certification/Education: Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred an accredited school of nursing. Required Experience/Specialized Skills: 1-year experience working in a Mother/Baby unit in a hospital setting Must be able to speak, read and follow instructions in English. Excellent interpersonal skills. Must be able to demonstrate positive behaviors. Required Certification/Registration: Current CA RN License Current BLS-C provider from American Heart Association Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certificate (AAP 7th or 8th edition) Required Education/Course(s)/Training: Registered nursing degree from an accredited school of nursing. Position eligible for $4,000 new hire retention and $3,000 relocation incentive based off eligibility.
