Job Description Onsite Salt Lake City, Utah office position. Starting at $65,000 annual salary; salary is negotiable based upon experience. Bonus eligibility. Taylor Derrick Capital (TDC) is an SEC Registered Investment Adviser that provides debt and equity capital for real estate projects throughout the Western U.S. TDC has offices in Salt Lake City, Utah and Henderson, Nevada and is a growing, dynamic firm seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented professional to join its fast-paced Salt Lake City office. The Staff Accountant supports the finance team in maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports and reconciling accounts to ensure GAAP, tax, fiduciary and securities compliance. Essential Duties & Responsibilities General Ledger & Closing – Assist in maintaining the general ledger, preparing journal entries and reconciling accounts for month-end close. Financial Reporting – Assist with the preparation of balance sheets, income statements and cash flow statements. Custodial Reporting – Prepare monthly investor transaction reports for Custodians (Fidelity, Schwab, etc.). Audit & Tax – Support annual external audits and tax preparations. Accounts Payable – Perform AP tasks including data entry, invoice processing and payment scheduling. Analysis – Identify, analyze and resolve account variances. Qualifications & Skills Education – Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required. Experience – Minimum 3 years of accounting experience required, 3-5 years preferred. Technical Skills – Accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced Excel data manipulation (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.), proficiency required. Investment management software (Yardi) and investor portal (Juniper Square) experience a plus. Additional Skills – Strong attention to detail, analytical and organizational skills, and the ability to work independently under tight deadlines.
