Occupational Therapist

The Occupational Therapist provides comprehensive rehabilitation services including physical and occupational therapy, speech therapy, hydrotherapy, pelvic health therapy, dry needling, and specialized programs such as LSVT Big and Loud and pain management. This role involves delivering patient-centered care across various settings including in-patient hospital, nursing home, out-patient clinic, school visits, and home care visits. The therapist addresses a wide range of patient needs including orthopedic, neurological, developmental delays, pediatric, and musculoskeletal injuries, contributing to the overall wellness and recovery of patients in Sheridan County and surrounding areas. Responsibilities:

• Deliver occupational therapy services to patients in in-patient, out-patient, nursing home, school, and home care settings.
• Provide rehabilitation treatments including hydrotherapy, pelvic health therapy, dry needling, and specialized programs such as LSVT Big and Loud.
• Assess patient conditions and develop individualized treatment plans to improve functional abilities and quality of life.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members including physical therapists, speech therapists, nurses, and medical staff.
• Document patient progress and maintain accurate clinical records.
• Educate patients and families on therapy goals, techniques, and home exercise programs.
• Participate in facility initiatives to enhance patient care and wellness access.

• Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current Occupational Therapist license valid in the state of Montana.
• Strong clinical assessment and treatment planning skills.
• Ability to work across various patient populations including pediatric, orthopedic, neurological, and developmental delays.
• Excellent communication and interdisciplinary collaboration skills.

• Experience with hydrotherapy and pelvic health therapy.
• Knowledge of dry needling and specialized therapy programs such as LSVT Big and Loud.
• Experience in both in-patient and out-patient rehabilitation settings.
• Familiarity with school visit therapy protocols and home care environments.

• Work includes diverse settings such as hospital, nursing home, outpatient clinic, schools, and patient homes.
• Facility assists with securing housing for the assignment.
• Must be adaptable to a rural healthcare environment serving a broad geographic area including Sheridan County and neighboring regions.

• Work schedule includes standard business hours with potential for visits across multiple care settings.
• Shift assignments may vary depending on patient needs and therapy service locations.
