This role, based in our supportive outpatient office in Eatontown, New Jersey, allows for a remote working arrangement, offering you the flexibility to provide crucial mental health services. Work Environment\n

Our outpatient office is designed to ensure patient comfort and confidentiality, equipped with the necessary tools and technology to facilitate effective therapy. Although the position is predominantly remote, you will have the opportunity to occasionally visit the office for in-person collaboration and team meetings, fostering a sense of community amongst staff members. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility needed based on patient appointments and urgent care situations.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients' histories and current mental health status.

• Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based treatment plans focused on trauma recovery, tailored to the specific needs of each patient.

• Utilize therapeutic methodologies such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) in your practice.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions aimed at processing trauma, developing coping strategies, and promoting overall mental health healing.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other mental health professionals to ensure a coordinated approach to care.

• Provide crisis intervention support during emergencies, utilizing your training and skills to manage acute trauma-related situations.

• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, coping methods, and available resources to empower recovery.
\n
• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation in compliance with legal, ethical, and organizational standards.

• Participate in team meetings, case consultations, and ongoing professional development activities centered around trauma-informed care practices.

• Stay abreast of the latest research in trauma therapy to ensure your practice remains at the forefront of the field.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role focuses primarily on supporting individuals who have experienced significant trauma, including survivors of abuse, neglect, and other challenging life events. You will provide care to a diverse population, with a focus on understanding their unique experiences and the impact that trauma has had on their mental health. Your work will significantly influence their recovery journey, allowing them to build resilience and develop coping strategies.

Qualifications\n

• A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of New Jersey.

• Demonstrated knowledge of trauma-related disorders and experience with trauma-informed care methodologies.
\n
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, reflecting a compassionate and empathetic approach to therapy.

• Ability to maintain composure under pressure and effectively manage high-stress situations, ensuring the safety and well-being of patients.

• Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and relevant software applications.
\n
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team structure.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure clinical experience in providing therapy and support to trauma survivors.

• Experience in delivering trauma-specific interventions and participating in peer supervision or case consultations.

Compensation and Benefits\n

We recognize the importance of our mental health professionals and offer a competitive salary ranging from $80,000 to $104,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
