Work Environment\n

This position offers the flexibility of a remote work setting, allowing you to provide therapy to clients from the comfort of your own space while still being integrated into our supportive clinic environment. Work hours are scheduled Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some needed flexibility to accommodate patient needs effectively.

Key Responsibilities\n

  Conduct trauma-informed assessments to evaluate the unique trauma histories of patients, guiding effective and compassionate treatment planning.

  Develop and implement tailored treatment plans aimed at promoting trauma recovery, resilience, and overall mental wellness.

  Utilize established therapeutic interventions , including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to support clients in their recovery journey.

  Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions that encourage patient engagement in processing trauma and developing effective coping strategies.

  Collaborate closely with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary team members to ensure a cohesive and comprehensive approach to patient care.

  Provide crisis intervention support in high-stress situations and traumatic emergencies, ensuring patients receive timely and compassionate care.

  Educate patients and their families regarding trauma responses and available resources, fostering a better understanding of mental health.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role specifically focuses on clients who are trauma survivors, many of whom may be experiencing debilitating effects from conditions like PTSD and complex trauma. We value cultural sensitivity and an understanding of how factors such as race, societal expectations, and personal histories shape each patient's unique experience.

Qualifications\n

  A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

  Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or PsyD in the state of New Jersey.

  At least 2 years of post-licensure experience in the mental health field, preferably in trauma-related practices.

  Comprehensive knowledge of trauma-related disorders and treatment modalities.

  Exceptional interpersonal skills, demonstrating a compassionate, non-judgmental approach to patient interactions.

  Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and modern technology applications relevant to therapy.

Preferred Experience\n

Compensation and Benefits\n
