Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist at Empowerment Wellness, your key responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive psychosocial assessments to develop a deep understanding of each client’s unique challenges.

• Coordinating care with multidisciplinary teams, including nurses, psychiatrists, and social workers, to streamline treatment plans.

• Providing individual, family, and group therapy sessions, employing evidence-based therapeutic modalities appropriate to the client’s needs.

• Serving as a consultant and valuable resource within the therapeutic team, contributing insights to enhance patient care.

• Creating and updating treatment plans, ensuring all goals are measurable and tailored to the client’s progress.

• Liaising with community agencies to assist in the support of clients' broader needs, including advocacy for mental health resources and social services.

• Documenting treatment sessions accurately in compliance with medical records policies, ensuring all patient data is securely stored.

• Engaging in disposition planning to ensure smooth transitions for clients needing additional services.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your therapeutic work will primarily support adult and geriatric populations, with the potential to expand services to child and adolescent clients in the future. Qualifications\n

The ideal candidate will demonstrate the following qualifications:

• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field from an accredited institution.

• Active and unrestricted licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of California.

• Strong foundational knowledge of clinical theoretical models and therapies.

• Proficient in building rapport and conducting therapeutic alliances with diverse clients.

• Exceptional writing skills for clinical documentation, ensuring clarity in treatment planning and evaluation summaries.
