Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments to identify clients' mental health needs and create tailored treatment plans, drawing from diverse therapeutic modalities.

• Facilitate individual, group, and family therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based practices, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to address a wide range of challenges.

• Work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team including case managers, psychiatrists, and community service providers, ensuring integrated care that comprehensively supports client needs.

• Offer crisis intervention and immediate support for clients in acute distress, employing intervention strategies with compassion and skill.

• Engage in proactive community outreach efforts, including workshops and mental health awareness initiatives, to promote understanding and reduce stigma associated with mental health issues.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a therapist at our community center, you will work with a varied clientele that spans different age groups, backgrounds, and socioeconomic statuses. Your role will involve providing culturally competent care to individuals experiencing a wide spectrum of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues, emphasizing personalized care approaches.

Qualifications\n

• A current and active independent license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).

• A master's degree or doctoral degree in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field.
\n
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and empathically with clients, establishing rapport and building trusting therapeutic relationships.

• Exhibits strong cultural competence, recognizing and responding effectively to clients’ individual cultural identities and experiences.

• Strong organizational capabilities, ensuring precise documentation and compliance with clinical standards.

Preferred Experience\n

While a minimum of two years of experience in a mental health counseling role is required, candidates with experience in community mental health settings or those who have worked with underserved populations will be given preference. Additional training in trauma-informed care and crisis intervention techniques is also advantageous.
