Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individual and group therapy sessions, both in-office and in-home, using evidence-based practices tailored to meet the familial needs.
\n
• Develop and implement treatment plans emphasizing anger management, coping strategies, and social skills to mitigate high-risk behaviors, including Self-Injurious Behavior (SIB) and physical aggression.
\n
• Empower children and their caregivers by enhancing their decision-making skills related to behavioral issues, ensuring they feel supported and confident in their approaches at home.
\n
• Collaborate regularly with the Child Family Treatment Team and external professionals to create a cohesive treatment plan and maintain open lines of communication regarding client progress.
\n
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all client interactions, including intake evaluations, treatment plans, and progress notes, to ensure compliance with legal and organizational standards.

• Actively participate in team meetings, providing feedback and ideas to enrich the overall treatment approaches for our clients.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our clients primarily include children and adolescents aged 3-20 who face developmental and intellectual disabilities. This role involves working closely with a diverse group of special needs children, including those with behavioral health challenges. As a therapist, you will play a crucial part in providing support to both clients and their families, fostering emotional resilience and adaptive skills that promote long-term well-being.

Qualifications\n

• Master's degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, or a related field is mandatory.

• A valid, unrestricted Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) license is required.
\n
• Access to reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license is necessary, as in-home sessions will be part of your responsibilities.
\n
• Ability to pass a background check, including fingerprints, as required by state law.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience working with children and adolescents experiencing positive behavior challenges is a plus.

• Previous experience with clients who have intellectual and developmental impairments is highly desirable.

• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish or Portuguese will be considered an asset in enhancing service delivery to our diverse client population.

• Weekend availability is advantageous as we aim to accommodate families’ schedules during critical after-school hours (4-7 PM).

Compensation and Benefits\n

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 90,000 to $105,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition, our comprehensive benefits package includes:
