Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct culturally sensitive, strength-based assessments for new patients and their families, utilizing evidence-based techniques to understand their unique situations and create effective treatment plans.

• Provide tailored individual and family therapy sessions, adapting therapeutic approaches to meet the specific needs of each client while fostering an inclusive and supportive therapeutic space.

• Complete all necessary billing, documentation, and insurance authorization forms promptly to comply with federally mandated time frames and ensure uninterrupted service delivery.

• Develop comprehensive crisis plans and wellness plans to aid clients in maintaining stable functioning and preventing relapse, utilizing assessment tools and client feedback.
\n
• Create effective discharge plans to transition clients from therapy when goals have been met, ensuring they have the tools to sustain their progress independently.
\n
• Stay current with all applicable federal and state laws, regulatory requirements, and Genworth Counseling Center’s internal policies and procedures to maintain high standards of care.

• Engage in continuous professional development through training, workshops, and education opportunities to enhance therapeutic techniques and maintain licensure.
\n
• Participate actively in case consultation meetings and agency staff meetings, collaborating with other mental health professionals to share insights and improve service delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work primarily with adult patients from diverse backgrounds, including individuals facing challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. Your culturally sensitive approach will be essential in addressing the varied needs of our clients, enhancing their engagement in the therapeutic process and promoting positive outcomes.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in social work, counseling, marriage and family therapy, or a related field, which qualifies for licensure in Massachusetts.

• Active licensure as a Mental Health Therapist in the state of Massachusetts (LMHC, LMFT, LICSW).

• Demonstrated proficiency in telehealth practices and familiarity with relevant digital tools and platforms is highly desirable.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience in a mental health or counseling role with a focus on remote service delivery.

• A background working with clients in crisis or with severe mental health issues is preferred.

• Experience with care coordination and collaboration with other healthcare providers would be an asset.

Compensation and Benefits\n
