Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough preliminary assessments and document clinical findings from the initial consultation through the entirety of treatment.

• Evaluate clients' mental, emotional, and behavioral health consistently, adapting interventions as necessary based on their unique needs.

• Design and implement individualized treatment plans for diverse populations, including individuals, couples, families, and groups.
\n
• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions using evidence-based practices that foster therapeutic change.

• Monitor clients' progress meticulously throughout the treatment continuum, ensuring necessary adjustments are made to maximize positive outcomes.

• Work collaboratively with healthcare teams, including psychiatrists, doctors, and social workers, to develop coordinated intervention strategies.

• Conduct follow-ups on clients who have been referred for additional services or hospitalized, ensuring continuity of care.

• Implement proactive measures to identify and mitigate potential barriers to recovery, enhancing the therapeutic journey of each client.

• Educate and support family members and primary caregivers in managing challenges related to mental health and behaviors.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, or LICSW in the state of Massachusetts.

• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Strong foundation in mental health counseling, demonstrated by previous experience in a clinical or therapeutic setting.

• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems, specifically AVATAR or equivalent, to document and track client progress efficiently.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience working with specific populations, including adults, youth, and families.

• Knowledge of co-occurring physical health and mental health conditions, as well as experience with substance use disorders.

• Familiarity with best practices from the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) and ongoing participation in relevant training and education.

• In-depth understanding of psychopharmacology and the implications of prescribed medications.
\n
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, allowing for effective collaboration with clients and interdisciplinary teams.
