Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health evaluations and intake assessments, documenting clients' histories and presenting concerns from their initial consultation throughout the treatment process.

• Develop detailed and individualized treatment and intervention plans that address the unique needs of individuals, couples, families, and groups.

• Facilitate engaging therapy sessions, both individually and in groups, employing a variety of therapeutic techniques to promote healing and growth.

• Monitor client progress regularly, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans to optimize outcomes and ensure effective recovery.

• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, medical professionals, and fellow counselors, to create holistic intervention strategies that support comprehensive client care.

• Provide ongoing support to clients and their families, helping them understand and navigate mental health challenges and encouraging healthy coping strategies.

• Stay informed about the latest developments in psychotherapy and mental health trends to enhance therapeutic practice and improve client outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our clients vary widely in age, background, and mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and addiction disorders. As a mental health counselor at Wise Recovery Counseling Center, you will play a pivotal role in helping clients from diverse demographics, employ strategies tailored to their specific circumstances, and foster a sense of belonging, security, and hope throughout their recovery journey.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure in the state of Oregon as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW.
\n
• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counselor Examination (NCMHCE).

• Demonstrated ability to effectively engage with clients and provide compassionate care, accompanied by strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Proficiency with electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR or similar platforms.

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience as a mental health counselor, preferably in a telehealth or remote setting.

• Experience working with clients facing relationship challenges, addiction, co-occurring disorders, and the management of chronic mental health conditions.

• Strong understanding of the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) best practices in providing mental health counseling.

• In-depth knowledge of the effects of psychiatric medications prescribed by healthcare providers.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this role ranges from USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience. Additionally, we offer a sign-on bonus for qualified candidates.
