Security Officer - Access Operations

Position Title Security Officer – Access Operations (BOISE, ID) Position Type Full Time Pay Rate $19.00 / Hour Job Schedule Mon: 11:00 PM – 07:30 AM Tue: 11:00 PM – 07:30 AM Wed: 11:00 PM – 07:30 AM Sat: 11:00 PM – 07:30 AM Sun: 11:00 PM – 07:30 AM What You’ll Do Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out site‑specific access control procedures, badge verification, and visitor check‑in activities at a technology‑focused location. Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, and help to deter unauthorized access by following post orders, property rules, and other security‑related protocols. Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, and communicate relevant details to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as needed. Maintain accurate logs, visitor records, and incident documentation, and support credential issuance, key control, and other access‑related administrative tasks. Conduct regular and random patrols around assigned areas and the perimeter, noting potential concerns and reporting maintenance, access, and/or security‑related issues according to site procedures. Minimum Requirements Access control and badge experience is preferred. The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred. Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. Limited on‑site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
