As a Security Officer - Access Gate in BOISE, ID , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a dynamic tech and communications location, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, conduct routine patrols, and support security-related operations with professionalism and care. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a tech-focused location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and/or credentials, and help to deter unauthorized access to offices, work areas, and other restricted spaces.
• Screen guests, vendors, and/or deliveries, maintain visitor logs and access records, and communicate access-related information to site contacts in a professional manner.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report security-related concerns according to post orders and location procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, noting unusual activity, unsecured access points, and other security-related conditions that may need attention.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
