Our client, an industry-leading global investor with teams across major cities in North America, Europe, and Asia-Pacific whose Infrastructure arm is a pioneer and global leader in infrastructure direct investing with over 25 years of experience originating, structuring, and actively managing infrastructure investments.

With 100+ investment professionals across global offices, their infrastructure division had c$45 billion in AUM invested in a diversified global portfolio of utilities, renewable power, nuclear power, telecommunications, toll roads, ports, airports, and other essential services.

\n

\n

We are currently seeking a high-performing Senior Associate to join their investment team in New York. This is an opportunity to join a collaborative team and support all aspects of the investment process, including origination, execution, and value creation / asset management.

\n

\n

You Will Be Responsible For

\n

\n
• Supporting research into prospective industries to develop industry theses and assisting in generating investment ideas across our focus sectors
\n
• Building and critically reviewing financial models; assessing the integrity of the model and the financial returns of potential investment opportunities
\n
• Supporting commercial, technical, regulatory, and other critical due diligence workstreams, driving towards clear outcomes – including assessment of the investment thesis and key risks – in partnership with external experts and advisers
\n
• Synthesizing key findings from research, financial analysis, and meetings with management teams and diligence advisors into investment presentations and presenting these findings to investment committees
\n
• Contributing to the strategic, financial, and operational success of portfolio companies, including supporting strategy development, debt financings, follow-on acquisitions, and divestiture analysis, among other value creation activities
\n
• Developing an ability to think strategically and holistically in order to understand complex situations and develop strategies to achieve the desired outcomes

Required Skills

\n

\n
• At least 4-5 years of experience in investment banking or direct investing in the infrastructure sector, including Energy, Transportation, and/or Digital
\n
• Strong research, financial modelling, and valuation capabilities
\n
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a strong commitment to being a team player
\n
• Strong commercial, analytical, and problem-solving skills
\n
• Self-motivated with a strong work ethic; able to multitask effectively and work independently
\n
