This role contributes to the success of the company by the integrity and accuracy of all balance sheet and operating (opex) accounts. The Staff Accountant supports our vision by leading and synchronizing accounting and finance activities to deliver financial reporting on time and on point. As part of the centralized accounting team, this role spans all FOH and SPV entities and work in synchronicity with the other GL Manager. Additional Information: This is a permanent, full-time exempt position (Exempt) Our Headquarters office is located at 7630 Biscayne Blvd., Miami, FL 33138 This role participates in our hybrid schedule Hybrid Schedule: Monday & Friday; 2 days working remote. Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday; 3 days working in the headquarters office. MAJOR DUTIES INCLUDE: Maintains the general ledger of US (GAAP) and international (IFRS) entities, preparing account reconciliations, supporting audits, and ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standards. In collaboration with the GL Manager, orchestrates the full-cycle accounting and ERP activities of multiple team members and multiple entities to ensure all month-end duties are completed on time and on point Orchestrates the cyclical accounting and ERP activities of multiple team members to ensure all month-end duties are completed accurately and on time: By the 10th business day for FOH Inc, FOH Mexico and FOH Europe and the 15th business day for SPVs. Assists in upholding the integrity of our general ledger by understanding the annual budget outcomes from both line-item coding and budgeted amount perspectives In support of separation of duties, completes the posting of AR payment receipts and outgoing AP disbursements promptly each morning so the reciprocal GL manager can complete the daily bank reconciliations. Additionally, for AP, verbally verifies payment change instructions submitted by vendor business partners. In support of separation of duties, completes the 3-way match of supply chain/manufacturing transactions that is facilitated by R&S Mayer WOFE. Supports the Controller in ensuring VAT liabilities and disbursements for foreign subsidiary departments Possesses strong competency in accounts payable processing and AR/collections to act as a resource or backup as needed Updates the departmental standards as needed In collaboration with colleagues, maintains, upholds, and adheres to the month-end checklist deadlines and activities Supports the Finance leadership team in administering annual departmental budgets Posts approved journal entries Reconciles and electronically documents balance sheet accounts monthly to ensure audit readiness Engages in annual and ad hoc external audits as needed Actively participates in all one-on-one and group meetings Contributes to the enhancement of our financial software: Data rails(FPA), SAP, Brex Identifies and updates workflows needed to streamline the communication between Accounting & Finance and other departments, as well as within the department Appreciates the relationship between recognition, reinforcement, and results Assists in other duties and projects as needed and directed Promotes our FOH® culture in all interactions EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & COMPUTER SKILLS: Associate degree or higher in Accounting Minimum 5+ years in Accounting or field-related experience Minimum 3+ year in in leadership and coaching experience Proficient in Microsoft Applications Proficient in ERP systems, SAP Business One Accounting System Knowledge of Brex, Avalara, and Datarails is preferred SKILLS NEEDED FOR SUCCESS: Strong customer service and interpersonal skills Critical accuracy in all financial transactions and projects Ability to be discreet in handling a wide variety of confidential business & owner’s transactions Stress and time management skills Analytical, creative, practical problem-solving skills Customer service and interpersonal skills Work collaboratively and as part of a diverse team Communicate with excellence and clarity both verbally and in writing Project management skills and strong attention to detail Tech- savviness Strategic thinking, planning and execution Ability to re-arrange tasks as priorities change Provides and follows direction and works under pressure to meet deadlines Presentation and public speaking skills Balances quick decision-making with thoughtful judgement Complete projects as a self-starter with minimum supervision Mentoring, coaching and leadership skills DESIRED CHARACTERISTICS & QUALIFICATIONS: Ability to be discreet in handling a wide variety of confidential business & personal transactions Organized, action and detail oriented Demonstrates sound work ethic Possesses cultural awareness and sensitivity Highly enthusiastic, positive-minded, and composed in challenging situations Thrives in a goal-driven environment Nimbleness to respond to everchanging priorities in a high-growth environment High emotional intelligence Flexible to work outside normal work hours Acts and performs with an “ownership mentality” BENEFITS AND PAY: At FOH®, we value our team members as our most important asset, which is why we offer a benefits package designed with their well-being in mind.
