Together, we are building a better world, so we can all enjoy living in it.The Product Development Specialist supports Gas Compressor Engineering and Gas Compressor Operations by providing portfolio analytics, business reporting, financial and resource analysis, and process-improvement solutions. This role serves as a trusted source of portfolio information, and collaborates closely with organizational leaders to help make informed decisions regarding capacity, resource utilization, capital expenditures, and Research & Engineering (R&E) investments.The role is accountable for maintaining data quality and reporting standards, developing dashboards and analytical tools, and improving business processes through automation and emerging technologies. Success in this role requires strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, collaboration, and the ability to transform complex data into actionable business insights.Additionally, the Product Development Specialist is accountable for:Maintaining a single source of portfolio data and reporting standardsConsolidating R&E cost, effort, and capital reporting informationDeveloping capacity, demand, labor utilization, and forecasting analysesMaintaining portfolio dashboards and decision-support toolsSupporting Planview data quality, governance, and administrationDriving process improvements through automation, analytics, and AI-enabled solutionsThe Product Development Specialist provides analysis, recommendations, and decision-support information but does not own project budgets, technical commitments, program schedules, or portfolio prioritization decisions.Key ResponsibilitiesPortfolio Data Management & GovernanceMaintain a single source of portfolio data and reporting standards across Gas Compressor Engineering and OperationsEnsure data accuracy, consistency, and quality across approved business systemsAdminister and support Planview portfolio structures, resource data, and related governance processesFinancial & Portfolio ReportingConsolidate and analyze R&E cost, effort, forecast, and capital expenditure informationSupport business reviews, forecasting cycles, and portfolio reporting activitiesIdentify reporting variances, trends, and risks, and communicate actionable insights to stakeholdersCapacity, Demand & Resource AnalyticsDevelop capacity, demand, labor utilization, and resource forecasting analysesModel workforce and portfolio scenarios to support organizational planningIdentify potential resource constraints, utilization trends, and forecast risksDashboard Development & Decision SupportDevelop and maintain portfolio dashboards, scorecards, and business performance metricsTranslate complex data into meaningful visualizations and actionable recommendationsProvide analytical support to Product Management, Program Management, Engineering, and Operations leadersProcess Improvement & AutomationImprove reporting processes through automation, system integration, and digital solutionsDevelop and maintain tools using Power BI, Power Automate, AI technologies, Tableau, or similar platformsResearch and apply industry best practices to improve reporting effectiveness and organizational efficiencyOrganizational Support & CollaborationSupport stakeholders with portfolio reporting, planning processes, and business analytics needsCollaborate with Engineering, Operations, Finance, IT, Strategy and Marketing to resolve data and process issuesCommunicate analytical findings and recommendations clearly to both technical and business audiencesQualificationsRequired:Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related fieldExperience with business analytics, portfolio reporting, financial analysis, or resource planningStrong analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation skillsExperience developing dashboards, reports, or decision-support toolsEffective communication and stakeholder collaboration skillsAdvanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft 365 applicationsPreferred:Strong competency with Power BI, including dashboard development and data modelingExperience with Power Automate, Tableau, and AI-enabled business toolsExperience with Planview, Coupa, Azure DevOps, SharePoint, LN, WCCS, or similar enterprise systemsKnowledge of financial forecasting, capacity planning, and resource managementFamiliarity with engineering development, manufacturing operations, or Gas Compressor products and applicationsSummary Pay Range:$89,210.00 - $133,810.00Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience.
