A confidential plaintiff-side personal injury trial practice in Texas is seeking an Associate Attorney with 3 to 5 years of experience to handle a litigation-heavy docket of contingency matters. This opportunity is well suited to an attorney who wants substantial responsibility, frequent deposition and motion practice, and direct ownership of case strategy from early litigation through resolution.

THE ROLE

- Manage pre-suit and litigated personal injury matters from intake through settlement or trial

- Evaluate liability, damages, and case value, and drive litigation strategy and next steps

- Draft pleadings, written discovery, and dispositive and non-dispositive motions

- Take and defend depositions, including party and fact witness depositions

- Prepare for and appear at hearings, mediations, and trial as needed

- Communicate with clients, experts, and opposing counsel throughout the life of the case

Compensation:

Six-figure base salary (commensurate with experience)

REQUIREMENTS

- Juris Doctor from an accredited law school

- Active Texas bar admission, in good standing

- 3 to 5 years of plaintiff-side personal injury litigation experience in a contingency practice

- Demonstrated litigation skills appropriate to level, including deposition work, motion practice, and strong legal writing

- Ability to manage an active docket independently and maintain high standards in a fast-paced litigation environment

PREFERRED BACKGROUND

- Experience handling commercial vehicle, catastrophic injury, or other high-damages matters

- Training that reflects disciplined case management and clear, persuasive writing

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

- Performance bonus paid twice per year, calculated as 10% of collected fees on cases the attorney handles
