As a fully remote position, this role provides you with the opportunity to offer services through telehealth platforms, ensuring accessibility for clients that may have barriers to traditional in-person counseling. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individual and group counseling sessions, effectively addressing various mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, PTSD, and other challenges commonly faced by veterans.

• Perform comprehensive assessments for each client, determining their unique needs and collaboratively developing tailored treatment plans that outline goals and methodologies.

• Provide crisis intervention and support, utilizing de-escalation techniques and evidence-based strategies to ensure client safety and stabilization.

• Engage in psychoeducation for clients and their families, helping them understand mental health conditions and encouraging coping strategies.

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including psychiatry and social services, to ensure a comprehensive approach to client care and facilitate referrals to additional support services when necessary.

• Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of all client sessions and interactions, staying adherent to ethical and legal standards in record-keeping.

• Stay current on mental health research and best practices through continuous education and professional development activities, ensuring the highest quality of care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our primary focus is on serving veterans and their families, many of whom may be experiencing challenges related to their military service, such as adjustments to civilian life and trauma recovery. As such, strong empathy and an understanding of the unique cultural aspects of military service are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s Degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a closely related field is required.

• Possession of an active and independent LPC license recognized by the state of Pennsylvania.
\n
• Proven ability to document clinical records thoroughly and prepare insightful reports that reflect client progress and treatment outcomes.

• Demonstrated experience working collaboratively in a team-oriented setting.

• Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and effectively.

• Sound judgment and the capacity to make independent clinical decisions based on professional standards and practices.

Preferred Experience\n

Compensation and Benefits\n
