Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 3x12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM | Weekend rotation required | Every other holiday | Standby call as needed

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care across all acuity types, including ICU and PCU patients, with appropriate nurse-to-patient ratios
• Perform telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation as part of routine unit responsibilities
• Float to other units as needed based on facility staffing requirements
• Participate in weekend rotation and every other holiday as scheduled
• Respond to standby call as needed
• Pass a telemetry exam prior to assignment start , meeting facility-defined criteria for both adult and pediatric rhythm identification

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required – American Heart Association (AHA) only
• Minimum of 2 years of inpatient RN experience in Med/Surg and PCU within the last 3 years
• First-time travelers must have more than 5 years of experience as an RN
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates will not be considered
• Must pass a telemetry exam prior to assignment start (up to three attempts permitted under defined remediation protocol; failure to pass after three attempts will result in assignment cancellation)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience caring for ICU-level patients in a mixed-acuity inpatient setting
• Strong cardiac rhythm interpretation skills, including identification of lethal arrhythmias and heart blocks
• Flexibility and willingness to consider a 48-hour contract with increased weekend availability
