Work Environment

This role requires an onsite presence, primarily in a home care setting. As you interact with patients in their own environments, you will play a vital role in facilitating a comfortable space for recovery. Our facility is equipped with cutting-edge rehabilitation tools and technologies, ensuring that our staff can provide safe, effective, and efficient care. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, providing a consistent work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough initial evaluations and continuous assessments of patients to gauge their mobility, strength, and functional abilities, adhering to both state regulations and our internal standards.
• Collaborate with patients to craft individualized treatment plans that cater to specific rehabilitation needs, encompassing short-term and long-term goals that are both challenging and realistic.
• Implement and monitor treatment protocols consistently, making necessary adjustments based on patient progress and feedback.
• Document patient progress meticulously as per established medical and facility standards, ensuring accurate and comprehensive records that contribute to the continuity of care.
• Stay engaged in continuous professional development by attending workshops, seminars, and accessing relevant publications to enhance your knowledge and skills.
• Work as part of a multidisciplinary team, assisting peers and contributing to a clean and orderly therapeutic environment.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work with a diverse population, primarily focusing on patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic conditions. Each patient presents a unique set of challenges and goals, requiring customized approaches that foster recovery and improve their quality of life. You will engage with patients of various ages, crafting strategies that consider their specific physical capabilities and personal rehabilitation objectives.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program is required.
• Possession of an active Physical Therapy license in the state of Virginia.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, including AED proficiency.
• Strong empathy and a genuine passion for helping patients achieve their rehabilitation goals.
• Knowledge of effective physical therapy practices and the safe use of therapeutic equipment.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of experience providing physical therapy services in a similar setting, preferably with orthopedic patients.
• Experience with treatment modalities specific to various orthopedic conditions.
• Demonstrated ability to motivate and guide patients through their rehab journey, fostering trust and support.

Compensation and Benefits
