Labcorp is seeking a Specimen Processor II to join our team in Chattanooga, TN Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 6 PM-11 PM rotating Sundays 9 AM-12 PM; rotating holidays and overtime as needed Job Responsibilities: Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing Communicate effectively with client office staff Research, troubleshoot and resolve customer and specimen problems Meet department activity and production goals Data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner Accurately identify and label specimens Pack and ship specimens to proper testing facilities Scrub requisitions to ensure samples are prepared and missing items are updated Do spinning/freezing/splitting and other special services as needed based on client Minimum Qualifications: High School diploma or GED or equivalent 1 year or more of experience in a medical/clinical laboratory experience Preferred Qualifications: 1 year or more of experience in the healthcare industry, such as a physician's office, clinic or hospital 1 year of experience in an assembly or manufacturing production environment Additional Job Standards: Comfortable handling biological specimens Ability to accurately identify specimens Experience working in a team environment Strong data entry and organizational skills High level of attention to detail Experience with MS Office Ability to lift up to 40lbs. The Specimen Processor II will be responsible for performing clinical specimen accessioning, sample sorting and data entry in a fast-paced, high-throughput environment located onsite with one of our client offices. Employees who are regularly scheduled to work a 7 on/7 off schedule are eligible to receive all the foregoing benefits except PTO or FTO.
