Travel RN - Telemetry - Progressive Care Unit

American Traveler is hiring a Progressive Care Unit RN for night shifts requiring Level I trauma center experience and telemetry skills.

Job Details

• Progressive Care Unit (PCU) setting within a Level I trauma center,
• Cares for trauma surgical patients and abdominal transplant population,
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM to 7:30 AM),
• Requires telemetry monitoring experience,
• Utilizes cardiac drips (no titration) and IV insulin/heparin protocols,
• May float within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate hospital,

Job Requirements

• Active RN license (KY State or Compact) required at time of consideration,
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required; TNCC preferred,
• Minimum 2 years of experience in trauma surgical or transplant patient populations,
• Level I Trauma Center experience required,
• Experience in a teaching hospital or high-volume facility preferred,
• Skilled in wound care/wound vac, ortho trauma care, and surgical drain management,
• Experience with BiPAP/CPAP management and tracheostomy care preferred,
• Experience with cardiac dysrhythmia interpretation and management,
• Transplant experience preferred,
• Previous travel nursing experience required,
• At least one professional reference required for consideration,

Additional Information

• Provide comprehensive care to trauma surgical and transplant patients, including wound care, fracture management, and mobility assistance,
• Responsible for cardiac monitoring, emergency response, and management of insulin and heparin drips,
• Required to work 3 of 5 winter holidays,
• Candidates residing within 100 miles of the facility are not accepted for this role,
• Previous UK-affiliated staff must have a 6-month gap in employment before returning as a traveler,
