Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Patrol Access Control in WILMINGTON , DE , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control, and respond to alarms and other security-related concerns. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting a caring, agile, reliable, innovative, team-focused culture built on integrity.

Pay Rate: $22.40 / Hour

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a healthcare and research location.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, laboratories, offices, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and report access concerns to appropriate personnel.
Respond to incidents, alarms, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while following established site protocols.
Prepare clear, accurate activity reports and communicate observations, incidents, and maintenance concerns to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

Customer service experience is preferred.
Access control and badge experience is preferred.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
A guard card or license is preferred.
Alarm panel experience is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
