We are looking for an experienced Payroll Specialist with strong Workday Payroll experience to support payroll operations for a large, multi-state organization. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on experience processing payroll in Workday and a strong understanding of U.S. payroll regulations, customer service, and payroll reconciliation.

Key Qualifications

• Workday Payroll experience is required

• Workday Payroll Certification strongly preferred

• Experience with multi-state payroll is required

• Strong experience in payroll processing and customer service

• Bachelor's degree preferred:- With a bachelor's degree: 2–4 years of progressive payroll and customer service experience

  • Without a degree: 5+ years of progressive payroll and customer service experience

• Strong understanding of U.S. federal, state, and local payroll regulations

• Experience with multiple payroll frequencies such as weekly, biweekly, semi-monthly, and monthly

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Ability to research and resolve complex payroll discrepancies with minimal supervision

• Strong attention to detail and ability to work effectively in a deadline-driven environment

What You'll Do

• Process accurate and timely payroll for a large, multi-state employee population
• Administer payroll within Workday , including day-to-day processing and troubleshooting
• Research, analyze, and resolve payroll discrepancies and employee/customer inquiries
• Perform payroll reconciliations and validate data from timekeeping and HR systems
• Review payroll inputs for inaccuracies, duplicate entries, system errors, and inconsistencies
• Process off-cycle payments, reversals, voids, stop payments, garnishments, deductions, and other payroll adjustments
• Ensure payroll processing complies with applicable federal, state, and local regulations
• Partner with HR, HRIS, Benefits, Accounting, IT, and business-unit customers to resolve payroll-related issues
• Support Workday testing, system upgrades, enhancements, and process improvements
• Assist with year-end payroll activities and special taxable payments
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee payroll and personal information
• Provide guidance and support to internal customers regarding payroll policies, procedures, systems, and deadlines

Work Arrangement

Hybrid work in Malvern, PA is preferred. Remote candidates may be considered if they have a strong Workday Payroll background , particularly candidates with Workday Payroll Certification.
