Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Make a positive impact this summer by supporting students’ growth in a dynamic extended school year (ESY) program. Work Monday through Thursday for a total of 25 hours per week and focus on helping elementary students with essential skills. Key Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification in Missouri
- Demonstrated experience working in Special Education settings
- Ability to create and implement individualized instructional strategies for students with diverse needs
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, parents, and team members
- Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive learning environment
What You’ll Do:
- Provide direct instruction to elementary students in an ESY program
- Develop engaging, individualized lesson plans to support essential skill development
- Employ evidence-based teaching practices tailored to each student’s unique abilities
- Monitor and document student progress toward individual goals
- Collaborate with paraprofessionals, specialists, and other educators to ensure holistic student support
- Communicate regularly with families to provide updates and foster partnership
This contract position is ideal for educators who thrive in short-term, focused roles and are eager to provide meaningful summer services. The assignment runs from June 1 through June 25, with a convenient Monday–Thursday weekly schedule and manageable caseload.
