Senior Clinical Laboratory Scientist

Freenome seeks a Senior Clinical Laboratory Scientist to perform high-complexity laboratory testing on patient specimens, oversee quality control procedures, and lead assay improvement initiatives. The role includes equipment maintenance, staff training, and troubleshooting while maintaining compliance with laboratory regulations.
Responsibilities
- Execute high-complexity laboratory tests and analyses according to SOPs
- Collaborate with development and automation teams on assay improvement and validation projects
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment; document preventive maintenance
- Review, interpret, and report patient results in LIMS; perform quality control procedures
- Train existing and new laboratory personnel on procedures and protocols
Requirements
- Clinical Laboratory Scientist certification or equivalent credential
- Experience with high-complexity laboratory testing and quality assurance procedures
- Proficiency operating laboratory equipment such as centrifuges, incubators, NovaSeq, and automated analyzers
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for complex assay problems
- Experience with laboratory information management systems (LIMS)
- Demonstrated ability to train laboratory personnel and lead projects
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
