Expiration Date: 05/31/2029 Responsibilities Overall management and direction of the 400‑seat movie theater on Base Kodiak. Plan and promote the theater, including scheduling and ordering movies, scheduling use for training and all‑hands events. Assist in negotiation of agreement with the Navy Motion Picture Service and prepare publicity releases in support of the movie theater. Maintain all equipment: monitor, maintain, and correct maintenance problems. Supervise and train employees, plan work schedules, appraise performances, counsel assigned personnel, and recommend personnel actions. Prepare and submit annual operating budget requirements. Direct operations of a short‑order concession stand, order inventory through vendors, prepare items for retail sale, conduct monthly and spot inventories, reconcile daily sales receipts, and make deposits. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications Professional knowledge of the goals, principles, objectives, methods and techniques of movie theater operations acquired through formal education or a combination of education and experience. Knowledge of operation and maintenance of theater equipment. Work experience supervising support staff. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Knowledge of computer programs such as Microsoft Office. Preferred: Three years’ experience demonstrating professional knowledge of movie theater operations, including retail, supervising support staff, and personnel procedures.
