Work Environment

The Physical Therapist position is based onsite at our state-of-the-art Rehabilitation Facility in Metuchen, NJ, where you will be part of a dedicated orthopedic team. Our facility is designed to support progressive rehabilitation strategies and features modern equipment to facilitate comprehensive patient care. You will work a full-time schedule of 40 hours per week, with some variability in weekend hours as needed, allowing you to balance personal and professional commitments while delivering top-quality care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients to determine functional limitations and develop tailored treatment plans that reflect their individual needs and goals.
• Implement and continuously assess treatment protocols, re-evaluating patient progress and adapting plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Maintain open communication with both patients and their families throughout the treatment process, ensuring they are well-informed and supported.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including physicians, nurses, and occupational therapists to ensure cohesive care and share insights regarding patient progress.
• Document treatment activities accurately in accordance with state regulations, institutional policies, and professional standards. Ensure timely submission of service charges.
• Supervise and mentor support staff, ensuring a high standard of care and efficient use of departmental resources.
• Participate in community outreach and marketing initiatives to promote the services of Healthactions Physical Therapy, contributing to the organizational goals of growth and engagement.
• Engage in continuing education and training opportunities to enhance personal competency and stay abreast of advancements in physical therapy practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Physical Therapist at Healthactions, you will primarily work with patients recovering from orthopedic injuries, those with chronic pain issues, and individuals requiring rehabilitation post-surgery. Our focus is on empowering patients of all ages and backgrounds to reclaim their mobility and independence through personalized treatment approaches.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution is required.
• Must possess a valid State License in Physical Therapy to practice.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with patients and healthcare professionals.
• Proficient in using computer systems for documentation and scheduling, enhancing efficiency in patient care management.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical setting is required, candidates with advanced clinical knowledge and expertise in orthopedic therapy or specialized certifications (such as sports rehabilitation or manual therapy) will be preferred. Experience in a supervisory role is a plus as well.

Compensation and Benefits

The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary in the range of USD 100,000 – 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
