Work Environment

Our outpatient office is designed to create a welcoming and supportive atmosphere for both patients and staff. This full-time role offers a structured schedule from Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm, allowing for a balanced work-life dynamic. As a member of our team, you will have the autonomy to shape your own schedule and patient assignments based on your clinical expertise and interests.

Key Responsibilities

As a Geriatric Physical Therapist, you will engage in various critical tasks, including:

• Conducting comprehensive evaluations of patients' physical abilities, assessing factors like mobility, strength, and pain levels to develop personalized treatment plans.
• Delivering skilled therapy interventions, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and modalities tailored to our geriatric clientele.
• Monitoring and documenting patient progress diligently, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes and recovery timelines.
• Collaborating seamlessly with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, such as physicians, occupational therapists, and speech therapists, to implement a holistic approach to patient care.
• Educating patients and their families about therapeutic exercises, home care strategies, and preventive measures to enhance their health and safety.
• Implementing evidence-based fall prevention initiatives and patient safety measures within the assisted living community settings.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on our geriatric clientele who require specialized care due to age-related challenges. Qualifications

To be considered for this position, applicants should possess the following:

• A Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• An active state licensure as a Physical Therapist in New Jersey.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills necessary for effective interaction with patients, families, and colleagues.
• Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems for efficient patient documentation and treatment planning.

Preferred Experience
