Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of new patients to assess their physical abilities and therapeutic needs, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of their health status.
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to improving strength, mobility, and functional independence for each resident.
• Utilize a range of therapeutic techniques, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and targeted modalities, to address specific physical impairments.
• Monitor patient progress meticulously, documenting changes and outcomes, and adjusting treatment strategies as necessary to optimize recovery.
• Engage actively in case conferences with an interdisciplinary team, providing insights and updates to facilitate cohesive patient care.
• Educate patients and their families on home exercise regimens and lifestyle adaptations to maintain and enhance physical health.
• Maintain compliance with all relevant state and federal regulations, as well as professional standards, to ensure the highest quality of care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily focuses on treating geriatric patients and individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries or injuries. Many of our residents have complex health needs and may be experiencing reduced mobility due to age, surgery, or chronic pain disorders. As a Physical Therapist at our facility, you will play an essential role in creating a compassionate and supportive environment that encourages each resident's progress and personal goals.

Qualifications

• Valid and active license to practice as a Physical Therapist in New Jersey.
• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution, with preference given to candidates holding a Master's or Doctorate degree.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, essential for interacting with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
• A commitment to delivering high-quality patient care and a willingness to adapt to each resident's individual needs.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of experience as a Physical Therapist, preferably within a skilled nursing facility or rehabilitation environment.
• Experience working with geriatric populations is highly desirable to effectively address their unique rehabilitation needs.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems is advantageous for efficient patient documentation.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 110,000 to 130,000 , commensurate with experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
