Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to adults on a neurological unit, including patients with stroke, epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, Guillain-Barré syndrome, and related conditions.
- Conduct ongoing neuro assessments, monitor telemetry, and interpret neurological changes; utilize NIHSS scoring to guide care.
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders, including neuro-specific therapies and seizure precautions.
- Participate in a multidisciplinary team approach, coordinating with physicians, therapists, and case managers for treatment planning and discharge readiness.
- Support a Level 4 epilepsy monitoring environment with continuous video EEG processes and ensure patient safety and quality of care.
- Document accurately in the electronic health record and uphold standards for infection control, patient safety, and continuous quality improvement.

Requirements
- Active NY RN license (New York licenses only)
- BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- NIHSS certification
- Telemetry experience required
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
- Ability to work rotating 12-hour shifts, including weekends and holidays, with on-call or callback as needed
