Work Environment\n

This role is conducted entirely remotely, allowing for flexibility while maintaining a focus on client needs. As part of a detox center team, you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary group of healthcare professionals, including nurses, counselors, and rehabilitation specialists, to coordinate care. You will utilize telehealth tools to conduct meetings, assessments, and follow-ups with clients.

Key Responsibilities\n

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Conducting comprehensive psychosocial assessments of clients entering the detox program, considering emotional, mental, and social aspects as they relate to addiction recovery.

• Developing individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients and their families that address specific goals, needs, and preferences.

• Providing ongoing counseling and emotional support to clients and their families throughout the detox process, assisting them in managing stress, anxiety, and related challenges.

• Advocating for clients by helping them access necessary community resources and support services, ensuring they receive equitable care.

• Facilitating family communications to promote understanding and assistance in the client’s recovery journey, while monitoring potential conflicts and emotional distress.

• Regularly documenting client interactions, treatment progress, and outcomes to ensure continuity of care and compliance with organizational policies and regulations.

• Staying current with best practices, legislation, and ethical standards in social work and substance recovery.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary focus of this role will be on individuals navigating the detoxification process. This includes providing support to clients experiencing substance use disorders and their family members, who often face significant emotional and psychological challenges. You will address unique issues faced in addiction recovery, including coping strategies, relapse prevention, and the importance of social support.

Qualifications\n

• A Bachelor's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution is required.

• Current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Florida.

Compensation and Benefits\n
