Stony Brook University School of Medicine invites applications for a full‑time GI Hospitalist faculty position in the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology. Stony Brook Medicine is a comprehensive academic medical center located on Long Island. Position Details Full‑time inpatient GI hospitalist at Stony Brook University Hospital, a 603‑bed tertiary care center. 24 inpatient GI consult weeks per year (Monday‑Friday only). Minimal weekend and night coverage. Inpatient team includes gastroenterology fellows and advanced practice providers. No outpatient responsibilities. Ideal for work‑life integration. Required Qualifications MD (or foreign equivalent). Board Certified in Internal Medicine, BC/BE in Gastroenterology. Experience in clinical care and teaching. Skilled in a variety of endoscopic procedures. Preferred Qualifications Experience in the gastroenterological care of patients admitted to the hospital. Additional Information Tenure/Non‑Tenure Track position. FLSA exempt; not eligible for overtime provisions. The selected candidate must successfully clear a background investigation.
