This position is remote, providing the flexibility to conduct sessions from your home while focusing on outpatient care for seniors. Operable between the hours of 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, the work structure allows counselors to balance professional responsibilities with personal commitments effectively. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct in-depth mental health assessments to identify the emotional and psychological needs of elderly clients, ensures tailored interventions based on individual assessments.

• Facilitate both individual and group counseling sessions to help clients manage emotional challenges linked to aging, including coping strategies for loss and life transitions.

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to formulate and implement comprehensive care plans that address the unique needs of geriatric clients.

• Provide education and resources to family members and caregivers on mental health strategies that enhance the quality of life for older adults.

• Deliver grief and loss counseling services, offering support to clients and their families as they navigate end-of-life issues with sensitivity and respect.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary focus of this role is supporting older adults experiencing various mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, and grief related to loss. Counselors will engage with seniors from diverse backgrounds, ensuring cultural sensitivity and personalization in each therapeutic approach. Our clients may face complex life situations such as relocation to assisted living or the loss of a loved one, requiring a counselor who can provide compassionate guidance through these transitions.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) credential in Massachusetts.

Compensation and Benefits\n
