Work Environment\n

Our outpatient office allows for a blend of remote work and in-person sessions when needed, all within a supportive structure. You will join a multidisciplinary team of professionals dedicated to fostering a holistic approach to mental health care, ensuring that our therapeutic environment is both collaborative and proactive in meeting the needs of our clientele. The standard work schedule is Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, with occasional evening or weekend hours required to provide flexibility for client appointments.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments and develop tailored treatment plans addressing the unique needs and challenges of each client.

• Utilize evidence-based screening tools for accurate diagnosis and treatment efficacy, facilitating ongoing evaluations to adjust therapeutic strategies as necessary.

• Maintain detailed and timely documentation in compliance with regulatory standards and organizational guidelines to ensure seamless care coordination.

• Collaborate closely with fellow clinicians and community partners to develop comprehensive support plans that enhance client outcomes, including crisis intervention strategies.

• Participate actively in licensing and accreditation activities, ensuring that our practice meets the highest standards of care and compliance.

• Serve as a point of contact for liaising with state agencies, healthcare systems, and community organizations to foster partnerships that benefit our clients.

• Facilitate workshops and support groups aimed at educating seniors and their families about mental health issues and available resources.

• Invest in your professional development through attending workshops, conferences, and being involved in local and statewide initiatives relevant to geriatric mental health.

• Promote the agency's mission by engaging in outreach efforts that inform the community about mental health services and available support systems.

• Assist the Clinic Director with additional tasks as needed to support clinic operations and enhance patient care.

Our target population includes seniors facing various challenges associated with aging, including loss, depression, or anxiety. As a counselor, you will work with this demographic to help them navigate life transitions, chronic illness, and other psychosocial issues, employing therapeutic techniques suited to the elderly and understanding the unique perspectives they may bring to therapy.

Qualifications\n

• A valid and current Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) credential.

• A Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling or related field from an accredited institution.

• At least four years of recent, relevant experience in geriatric counseling or mental health support, demonstrating a strong foundation in therapeutic techniques.

• Specialization training in geriatric mental health or aging-related issues is highly preferred and will strengthen your candidacy.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This full-time position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 70,000 to 95,000, with the potential for salary adjustments based on your skills and contributions to our team.
