This role operates within a remote work setting, meaning you can effectively engage with patients and healthcare teams from the comfort of your home or chosen workspace. Our outpatient office allows for flexibility for meetings and collaboration when necessary. The position involves regular hours from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, supporting a healthy work-life balance. Even as remote, we ensure our counselors remain connected through regular team meetings and ongoing training opportunities.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments for elderly clients to identify emotional and psychological needs.

• Provide individual and group therapy sessions aimed at helping clients navigate emotional challenges related to aging, grief, and life changes.

• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams including physicians, social workers, and caregivers to create holistic and tailored care plans.

• Educate families and healthcare staff on emerging strategies to bolster mental health among seniors, enhancing patient support and care.

• Facilitate grief counseling and emotional support sessions for residents and families facing end-of-life issues.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on elderly clients, providing them with the necessary tools and support to cope with significant life changes such as loss, chronic illness, and transitioning into assisted living environments. This role prioritizes understanding the diverse backgrounds of our senior residents, ensuring that care is culturally competent and tailored to individual needs.

Qualifications\n

• Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling or related field from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) status in the state of Massachusetts.

Compensation and Benefits\n
