Accounts Payable Specialist Location: Portland, OR (Remote must be able to pick up equipment) Job Type: Full-Time Pay range: $48,000 $54,000 About the Opportunity Our client, a well-established and growing organization, is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join their accounting team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced AP professional who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and enjoys working independently. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, a commitment to accuracy, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines. Key Responsibilities Process high volumes of invoices and expense reports accurately and timely. Match invoices with purchase orders and receiving documentation, while reviewing and verifying invoice coding and approvals. Manage vendor accounts and respond to inquiries regarding payments and account status. Prepare and process weekly payment runs, including ACH, wire, and check payments. Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies. Maintain accurate AP records and supporting documentation. Collaborate with purchasing, operations, and other departments to resolve payment-related issues. Qualifications Previous Accounts Payable experience in a high-volume (100+ invoices a day) processing environment. Experience using an ERP or accounting System and comfortable using Microsoft Excel. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently. High speed internet and space to work.
