Information and Referral Specialist

Providing essential support to individuals seeking health and human services, the full-time Call Specialist will manage incoming calls, texts, and emails at the 211 Maine Contact Center, ensuring quality customer service and accurate documentation while working primarily onsite in South Portland, ME, with potential remote options discussed during the interview. Key responsibilities Receive and respond to inquiries via calls, texts, and emails, guiding individuals to appropriate community services Document interactions thoroughly and accurately to meet program standards and timelines Utilize multiple platforms and technology effectively to assist clients and complete training requirements Required qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's Degree preferred Ability to obtain certification as an Information and Referral Specialist (CIRS) within 3 years Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong working knowledge of software programs required Previous experience in a call center or providing Information & Referral preferred Must pass a criminal background check and not be on state or federal suspension and disbarment lists Virtual Vocations Inc
