Bookkeeper

Location: Los Angeles, CA 90036 (On-Site)
Compensation: $80,000–$90,000 annually
Schedule: Full-Time | On-Site Only (No Remote or Hybrid)

The Hire Mark is recruiting on behalf of our client, a well-established importer and wholesale distributor of consumer electronics, seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join their team in Los Angeles.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on accounting professional who can work independently, oversee an offshore accounting support team, and take ownership of the company's day-to-day financial operations.

Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle bookkeeping and daily accounting operations

• Maintain accurate financial records using QuickBooks Desktop

• Process Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable

• Perform bank, credit card, and general ledger reconciliations

• Prepare monthly financial statements and assist with month-end and year-end close

• Record journal entries and maintain the general ledger

• Manage inventory accounting and reconcile inventory transactions

• Coordinate with the company's outside CPA for tax preparation and year-end reporting

• Monitor cash flow and ensure timely vendor payments

• Supervise and coordinate an offshore bookkeeping/accounting support team

• Identify and implement process improvements to improve efficiency and accuracy

• Provide financial reporting and support to company leadership

Qualifications

• 5+ years of full-cycle bookkeeping experience required

• Expert-level QuickBooks Desktop experience is required

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

• Experience managing or coordinating offshore accounting or bookkeeping staff

• Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and financial reporting

• Excellent organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail

• Strong Microsoft Excel skills

Preferred Experience

• Accounting experience within an importing, wholesale, distribution, or e-commerce business

• Inventory accounting experience

• Experience supporting multi-channel sales operations is highly desirable
