Salary Range: $47.85 - $71.72 per hour

Job Overview

We are looking for a Registered Nurse to join our Pediatric Oncology team at our Children’s Hospital located on the New Brunswick campus.

QualificationsRequired:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is mandatory
• A minimum of one year of experience as a Pediatric RN
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities
• Strong computer proficiency

Preferred:

• Experience in Pediatric Oncology is advantageous

Certifications and Licenses

• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Active Registered Nurse License in New Jersey
• PALS certification is required
• APHON Chemotherapy certification

Scheduling Requirements

• Night shift, 36 hours per week

Essential Functions

• The Registered Nurse delivers nursing care within the framework of the Nurse Practice Act and regulatory standards, ensuring adherence to ethical practices as outlined by the ANA code of ethics.
• Ensures safety in practice by applying evidence-based principles and recognizing personal knowledge and experience levels, while also fostering the growth of self and team members through effective communication and resource utilization.
• Responsible for reporting any safety concerns, including hazardous conditions and medical errors.
• Maintains a thorough understanding of the patient demographics served.
• Oversees and directs the delegation of tasks to appropriate team members, collaborating with other healthcare providers.
• Consistently prioritizes and evaluates interventions with measurable outcomes aimed at improvement.
• Acts as an individual practitioner and interdisciplinary team leader, utilizing the nursing process to tailor care plans to meet specific patient needs.
