Research Associate Position in Stem Cell Biology and Neuroscience The Jiang Laboratory in the Department of Cell Biology and Neuroscience at Rutgers University–New Brunswick invites applications for a research associate non‑tenure track position focused on human pluripotent stem cell biology and neuroscience. The lab studies the cellular and molecular mechanisms underlying human brain development and neurological disease, with emphasis on glial cells, especially human microglia. Research uses stem cell–based platforms, organoid systems, and chimeric mouse models, combined with CRISPR/Cas9 genome editing, electrophysiology, imaging, bulk and single‑cell transcriptomics, and behavioral analyses. Responsibilities • Design and perform experiments using stem cell differentiation, CRISPR/Cas9 editing, and organoid systems. • Conduct electrophysiological recordings and patch‑clamp studies in brain slices or cultured cells. • Analyze multi‑omics and imaging data, including bulk and single‑cell RNA sequencing. • Maintain and document laboratory protocols, reagents, and equipment. • Collaborate with team members, contribute to manuscript preparation, and present findings in seminars and conferences. Qualifications Ph.D. in neuroscience, stem cell biology, or a closely related field. Prior postdoctoral training with a demonstrated record of high‑quality research output. Proficiency in one or more of the following: CRISPR/Cas9 genome editing, electrophysiology (patch‑clamp), single‑cell transcriptomic analysis, or related bioinformatics. Strong problem‑solving and communication skills, both written and oral. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team‑based research environment.
