Per Diem Massage Therapist - Community Hospice – Albany and Rensselaer CountyCommunity Hospice is seeking a licensed, compassionate Massage Therapist to join our interdisciplinary hospice team on a per diem basis. From comprehensive training to providing necessary protective equipment, we're committed to creating a secure environment for you as you deliver exceptional care in our clients' homes.What you will do:As a valued member of our hospice care team, you will provide therapeutic massage services to patients in a variety of settings, including private homes, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and inpatient hospice unit in the Albany and Rensselaer County Region. Your care will help improve comfort, reduce pain and anxiety, and enhance quality of life.Responsibilities:Provide massage therapy services to hospice patients in accordance with individualized care plans.Assess patient needs and develop appropriate treatment interventions based on clinical findings and patient goals.Evaluate patient response to treatment and adjust care as needed.Collaborate with nurses, social workers, physicians, and other members of the interdisciplinary hospice team.Maintain timely and accurate electronic clinical documentation.Travel throughout the service area to provide patient care in home and facility settings.Manage and coordinate your schedule to ensure timely patient visits.What you will need:A current license to practice as a Massage Therapist in the state of New YorkGraduate of an approved Massage Therapy ProgramMinimum of two years of professional massage therapy experience preferred.Experience in hospice, home care, palliative care, long-term care, or other healthcare settings is preferred.Valid New York State driver's license and reliable transportation for travel throughout the service area.Proficiency with computers, email, mobile devices, and electronic documentation systems.Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build trusting relationships with patients, families, physicians, and colleagues.Excellent organizational and time-management skills.Ability to work independently while functioning effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team.Why Join Community Hospice?Flexible schedulingMeaningful, patient-centered workSupportive interdisciplinary team environmentOpportunity to make a lasting difference in the lives of patients and familiesJoin us in providing comfort, dignity, and compassionate care when it matters most.Pay Range: $27.81 - $35.99 Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates.
