Senior Retention Marketing Specialist

Location: Remote – US (PST or MST only)

Compensation: $80K–$95K Base + Bonus + Benefits

**Candidates for this role must be authorized for work in the US. Candidates must also be located in PST or MST time zones.**

We're partnering with a growing Shopify Platinum Partner looking to add a Senior Retention Marketing Specialist to its team. This person will work across a portfolio of high-growth DTC brands, owning email and SMS strategy while helping clients improve retention, engagement, and customer lifetime value.

This is a client-facing role combining strategic thinking, hands-on campaign management, and performance analysis. You'll work closely with creative, copy, analytics, and other internal teams to develop lifecycle and promotional programs aligned with each client's broader business goals.

What You'll Do

• Own day-to-day retention marketing strategy across a portfolio of DTC/eCommerce clients
\n
• Develop, execute, and optimize email and SMS campaigns aligned with client objectives
\n
• Build lifecycle strategies designed to improve customer engagement, repeat purchase behavior, and long-term value
\n
• Analyze campaign and customer data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement
\n
• Establish measurement frameworks and report on performance, translating data into clear recommendations and next steps
\n
• Serve as a strategic partner to clients, proactively identifying opportunities and guiding retention marketing decisions
\n
• Collaborate with designers, copywriters, analysts, and other specialists to bring campaigns and lifecycle programs to market
\n
• Stay current on emerging trends and best practices across email, SMS, retention, and DTC marketing
\n
• Contribute to the continued development of internal retention strategies, processes, and methodologies
\n

What We're Looking For

\n
• 3-7 years of experience in lifecycle marketing, CRM, retention, or a related discipline
\n
• Strong hands-on experience developing and managing email and SMS marketing programs
\n
• Previous experience working with DTC or eCommerce brands, specifically with Shopify
\n
• Expertise with Klaviyo
\n
• Ability to develop retention strategies and connect marketing activity to measurable business outcomes
\n
• Strong analytical skills with experience turning customer and campaign data into actionable insights
\n
• Excellent client-facing communication and presentation skills
\n
• Experience building and maintaining long-term client relationships
\n
• Strong understanding of customer lifecycle marketing, brand strategy, and content
\n
• Comfortable managing multiple priorities and client accounts simultaneously
\n

Nice to Have

• Previous digital agency or consulting experience
\n
• Familiarity with Figma and creative collaboration workflows
