Work Environment

The role is based onsite at our Rehabilitation Center in North Fort Myers, a facility equipped with state-of-the-art technology and a variety of rehabilitation tools. Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist at Highlands Physiotherapy Clinic, you will:

• Evaluate patients referred by physicians to develop individualized treatment plans, tailoring approaches to each patient's unique condition and recovery goals.
• Implement a range of therapeutic interventions, utilizing evidence-based techniques to ensure effective rehabilitation outcomes.
• Educate and train patients and their caregivers on treatment programs and best practices for continued care at home.
• Engage with a multidisciplinary team to maximize patient outcomes through collaborative efforts and effective communication.
• Utilize specialized rehabilitation modalities, ensuring adherence to the physician’s plan of care while providing purposeful, compassionate treatments.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and clinic policies.
• Contribute to the clinic’s objectives by achieving minimum utilization goals and enhancing patient satisfaction through excellence in service.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role focuses primarily on orthopedic patients, but you will also have the opportunity to work with individuals across various specialties such as pediatric, neurologic, and sports medicine. Your expertise will be integral to helping patients recover from surgeries, injuries, or chronic pain conditions, facilitating their journey back to functional independence.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy, with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy preferred.
• Current state license in Physical Therapy.
• Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills, including word processing and data management.
• A firm commitment to establishing strong relationships with patients, promoting their functional goals and overall well-being.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, experience in a rehabilitation setting or with specific patient populations (orthopedic, pediatric, neurologic, sports medicine) is highly desirable.
