Are you an accounting professional who enjoys combining problem-solving, customer communication, and financial analysis? We're looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to help manage customer accounts, resolve billing issues, support collections, and keep receivables moving efficiently.
In this role, you'll take ownership of assigned accounts, build positive customer relationships, investigate and resolve payment issues, and partner with internal teams to maintain accurate financial records.
Compensation & Highlights:
- $23.00-$30.00 per hour, based on experience
- Contract-to-Permanent Opportunity
Responsibilities of the Accounts Receivable Specialist:
- Manage assigned customer accounts, monitor outstanding balances, and follow up on open receivables.
- Contact customers regarding past-due invoices, payment questions, and account balances.
- Research and resolve billing discrepancies, payment issues, and account discrepancies in collaboration with customers and internal departments.
- Process and reconcile payments while maintaining accurate and up-to-date customer account records.
- Review aging reports, identify collection priorities, and support timely resolution of outstanding balances.
- Assist with AR reporting, process improvements, reconciliations, and other accounting projects as needed.
- Partner with internal teams to resolve account issues and support accurate, efficient cash flow management.
Qualifications of the Accounts Receivable Specialist:
- 1-3 years of experience in accounts receivable, collections, billing, or a related accounting function.
- Recent graduates with relevant internships, coursework, or accounting experience are encouraged to apply.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting or financial software systems.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple accounts, priorities, and deadlines.
- Experience with ERP systems, account reconciliations, aging reports, or service-based organizations is a plus.
