National Sales Manager - Channel Sales (Outdoor Recreation Products)

Sales Director / Manager - Commercial Outdoor Products

Our client is a leading manufacturer of commercial outdoor recreation products (products, amentities, surfacing, shading, water and more. These solutions are sold into education, municipalities (public), parks & recreation, hospitality, entertainment, retail, and other commercial markets.

This Sales Leader will be responsible for managing and driving revenue through a network of independent rep agencies , developing channel strategies, increasing market penetration, and maximizing agency performance.

REMOTE | Approximately 50% U.S. Travel

Responsibilities:

• Drive revenue through independent sales representative agencies.
• Develop sales plans, territory strategies, and revenue goals with channel partners.
• Build strong relationships with agency owners and sales teams and drive accountability.
• Identify new markets, customers, and commercial project opportunities.
• Work with reps to get products specified early in the architectural/design and RFP process.
• Train and equip agencies with sales tools, marketing resources, product knowledge, and competitive intelligence.
• Conduct regular business reviews and analyze pipeline, forecasts, and sales performance.
• Develop strategies to improve underperforming territories and increase market penetration.
• Partner with Marketing and Sales to develop programs that generate new business.
• Travel throughout the U.S. to meet with rep agencies, customers, architects, developers, and other key partners.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree required
• Min. 5–10+ years of Sales management experience within commercial construction, building products, architectural products, or a related industry. Must have experience targeting public sector, architects and in a related field.
• Proven success managing and growing business through independent sales rep agencies.
• Strong understanding of commercial construction, specification selling, architects, contractors, developers, and RFP processes.
• Ability to influence and motivate channel partners without direct reporting authority.
• Strong analytical, communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills.
• CRM and Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Ability to travel approximately 50% nationally.

Compensation:

• Base salary $150,000-$170,000+ + bonus
